CNC Machining & Turning
CNC Turning is a manufacturing process in which bars of material are held in a chuck and rotated while a tool is fed to the piece to remove material to create the desired shape.
A turret with tooling attached is programmed to move to the bar of raw material and remove material to create the programmed result. This is also called “subtraction machining” since it involves material removal.
Our high-speed CNC machines can manufacture numerous different parts and provide a highly skilled and competitive service.
Our Capabilities
Riverside Engineering provides an unrivalled level of customer service in a variety of materials including stainless steel, tool steel, aluminium, brass, engineering plastics and other ferrous & non-ferrous metals.
Capabilities of 250mm diameter x 500 mm between centres
CNC Turning – Applications
The most common examples include metals (aluminum and steel alloys, brass etc) and plastics (ABS, Delrin, Nylon etc). Foam, composites and wood can also be machined.
Prototyping
Turning is a CNC machining process that uses a lathe to create detailed functional prototypes and end-use parts with cylindrical features.
Commitment to Quality
We will only dispatch parts that comply with your specification and meet our own strict guidelines.
Inspection Processes
The inspection process is part of the overall service offered by Riverside Engineering.
